I preferred the play Tea to Bondage because Tea had more characters and I liked the story better. I liked the interplay of different generations and the struggles with race the characters faced as a mother, daughter or husband. I know that Bondage also has struggles with race as well as dominance/submission and sex as power, but I still prefer Tea.
I agree with you, considering the dynamics between generations as opposed to man v woman, perhaps APA would best be represented by Tea and felt most keenly by the audience as a play which in some ways is more accessible.
